beliefs

1. God

God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He eternally exists in three persons: The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.

Genesis 1:1, 26, 27, 3:22; Psalms 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14

2. Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all by dying on a cross. He arose form the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.

Matthew 1:22-23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5; John 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14-15; Acts 1:9-11; 1

Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 1:3-4; 1 Timothy 6:14-15; Titus 2:13

3. MANKIND

We are all made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. We are the supreme object of God’s creation.
Although mankind has tremendous potential for good, we are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called “sin”. This attitude separates us from God.

Genesis 1:27; Psalms 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1-2

4. ETERNITY

We all were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. The place of eternal separation from God is called Hell. Heaven is the place of eternal union and
eternal life with God.

John 3:16; Romans 6:23; revelation 20:15 (Hell); Matthew 25:41; Revelation 21:27 (Heaven)

5. SALVATION

Salvation is a gift from God to mankind. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can we be saved form sin’s penalty. Eternal life begins the moment we receive Jesus Christ into our life by faith.

Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 14:6; John 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1

6. THE HOLY SPIRIT

About the Holy Spirit is equal with God the Father & God the Son. He is in the world to make people aware of our need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the
moment of salvation. He provides power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. The Christian seeks to live
under His control daily.

2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13; John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12; 1 Corinthians 3:16; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 5:1

7. BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT

that Jesus Christ baptizes the seeking believer with the Holy Spirit for power and service, either at the time of or subsequent to regeneration, and that this is a separate work from the indwelling of the Holy Spirit for salvation. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and in the exercise of all biblical gifts of the Spirit as reflected through the fruit of that same Spirit. Luke 24:49; John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; Acts 8:14-17; Acts 10:44-47; Romans 12:6-8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11; Galatians 5:22-23

8. THE BIBLE

The Bible is God’s Word to all mankind. Human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit, wrote it. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living.

2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Timothy 1:13; Psalms 119:105, 160, 12:6; Proverbs 30:5

9. WATER BAPTISM

baptism by full immersion in water is the next step in the Christian walk after a person has decided to follow Jesus Christ. Baptism is an outward expression of an inward change. It is the opportunity to publicly identify ourselves with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; Acts 8:36-38; Acts 10:47-48

10. BLESSED HOPE

“Blessed Hope,” the personal imminent, pre-tribulation and pre-millennial coming of the Lord Jesus Christ for His redeemed ones; and in His subsequent bodily return to earth, with His saints to establish His millennial kingdom. Titus 2:13; 1 Corinthians 15:51-52; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 John 2:28; Jude 1:14; Revelation 19:11-16

11. WORSHIP

worship of God should be intelligent; therefore, our services are designed with great emphasis upon the teaching of the Word of God that He might instruct us on how He should be worshiped. We seek to teach the Word of God in such a way that its message can be applied to the individual’s life, leading that person to a greater maturity in Christ. We teach both expositionally (verse by verse) and topically. 1 Corinthians 14:1-12; 1 Corinthians 14:19; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Timothy 4:2

12. COMMUNION

the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper also known as the Holy Communion, which is the commemoration of the atoning death of our Lord Jesus Christ until He comes.

Matthew 26:26-29; 1 Corinthians 10:16-17; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26
